Culture, Socialism, Capitalism, Islam

Culture? Worth fighting for?

Hi there, I’m a multi tour Vietnam veteran and an American citizen that doesn’t apologize for being an American. When I think of my country, I think of my culture.

I fought for my culture. Forget for a moment about saying, “I fought for my country.”

I’ve paid my dues. I’ve given 7.5 years, 1 wife and two children for this culture.
Without my tours of duty, I feel certain that anything that was wrong in our marriage had a better chance of being rectified with my participation in her daily life, but instead, I was serving overseas in Vietnam.

My country is my culture

Canada is just now discussing how they can accept anymore from the middle-east.
We are concentrating so much on our southern borders what is happening to the north?

Canada just arrested 10-12 Muslims after they attempted to purchase 3 times the amount of explosives that was used in the McVeigh incident. They all came from the same Mosque. What is Canada doing about the Mosque? Have they warned the Muslims there that they have 30 days to get another, more peaceful cleric and to turn in those that harbored these terrorists. If not there will be no Mosque. *1

Is this an action of a State against a ‘religion’ or is it a State that knows one Mosque doesn’t make up an entire following as one church cannot be all of Christianity. Make them move to another Mosque if they don’t concur. They must pay for the harboring. They must take responsibility just as the civilians in Haditha have to. These people aren’t children.

Haditha:
These types of incidences will inevitably occur when a war is being fought with civilian shields. Not only are they being used as shields literally from gun fire they were being used as shields to harbor the terrorists. So where are the ‘innocent’ in the often read headline ‘innocent civilians massacred’? *2

We are being pinched. There is danger to the South with our unfriendly, untrustworthy neighbor there. We have an ally to the North that is being over run with a Middle Eastern cultural invasion.

Are we running this nation into the ground by the PC crowd? Does this paralyze us to do what we must do to fight for this culture?

Wars are changing.

Socialists don’t know it, but their heads will be lopped off too, because they are playing right into the ‘radical’ Muslim strength, diversion. Radical Islam uses our own PC against us, yet our leadership, our media keep acting as if they don’t know how to fight for our culture. They divert us into silly little debates about Gay Marriage and Burning Flags.

The PC crowd would love to see America’s culture and replace it with a “World” culture. War and strife is everywhere in the world, now they want to bring it here? (Think September 11th) Just give this culture up because we are the bad culture and we must go out of our way to give others ‘respect’. Respect when the other culture wants to destroy ours? We have the President of Mexico and our own President saying we are mean spirited if we want deportation and no amnesty. They say it is impractical and cruel and it can’t happen. The horse has left the barn.

I didn’t see any horse run by me. That horse ain’t out of the barn. That too is a diversion.

Begin to deport them? Yep, because once we begin, they will begin to leave on their own. As sure as the sun rising in the east, you change the living environment of any animal, migration (Think self-deportation) will occur.

I fought for this culture; I’m not ready to give it up. I want my kids to inherit the American culture. Call it nationalism, racism and bigoted. Go ahead, lay it on me. I don’t care. I love this culture and millions of other people do to.

It’s not going to happen the way it’s being played to us.

*1 Canadian police on Saturday said they have prevented a major al Qaeda-inspired terror plot to attack targets in southern Ontario.

*2 Twelve adults and five young people were arrested, authorities said.

"This group took steps to acquire three tons of ammonium nitrate and other components necessary to create explosive devices," said Royal Canadian Mounted Police Assistant Commissioner Mike McDonell in a statement.
"To put this in context, the 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City that killed 168 people took one ton of ammonium nitrate."
The detained suspects are all men, Canadian residents "from a variety of backgrounds" and followers of a "dangerous ideology inspired by al Qaeda," said Luc Portelance, assistant director of operations for Canadian Security Intelligence Service, in a news conference.
The targets were all in Toronto, CNN's Jeanne Meserve reported at least one source as telling her.

The charges include: participating in terrorist group activity, including training and recruitment; the provision of property for terrorist purposes; and the "commission of indictable offenses, including firearms and explosives in association with a terrorist group."

What authorities are not saying—and will almost certainly not confirm—is the distinct possibility that this plot was uncovered via the NSA foreign intelligence surveillance program that the NY Times tried to label a “domestic spying” program. As most international communications into North America filter through U.S. switching equipment, it seems logical that if international communications were involved, the NSA would be the lead agency handing off information their counterparts in Canadian border police and intelligence agencies.
CNN also suggests—but doesn’t support—is that this raid could be tied to the London terror raid conducted Friday that foiled a suspected chemical weapons plot.
Update: Via Stop the ACLU, it appears that internet monitoring was indeed responsible for helping break the al Qaeda cell:
The investigation began back in 2004, when CSIS was monitoring Internet sites and tracing the paths of Canadians believed to have ties to international terrorist organizations. Local youths espousing fundamentalist views drew special attention, sources say.
[snip]
Four months after authorities began to fear that Canada might have its own homegrown terrorist cell, two Americans entered the picture.
Ehsanul Islam Sadequee, a 19-year-old U.S. citizen of Bangladeshi descent who had attended high school in Ontario, and Syed Haris Ahmed, 21, a student at Georgia Tech, boarded a Greyhound bus in Atlanta on March 6, 2005, and travelled to Toronto to meet "like-minded Islamic extremists," a U.S. court document alleges.
The NSA program, as repeated described, tracked targeted communications between terror suspects in the United States, and other countries... like Canada.

Hope you enjoyed,

Tillerman
